"""Touching the Tide" Project led by Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB May 2012

Bill Jenman, Development Officer, chats to Dee about this Landscape Partnership Project which will look at how the coastal communities live with cultural and natural change, in this exceptional landscape of high quality heritage. It will focus on the past, the present and the future to improve understanding and appreciation of coastal change; capture and tell stories about the changing coastal landscape; actively involve people in caring for their coast and take a role in the decision making processes affecting it.

Two meetings have been arranged to discuss the "details" and local people are invited to attend. The first on 19th May is full but if you are interested in attending the second on 23rd May please email Bill Bill.Jenman@suffolk.gov.uk This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. AONB Winter 11

12 January 2012 by Lynn

Lynn Allen and Nick Marsh are both Countryside Officers with particular responsibility for volunteers. The Unit is responsible for the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which is one of Britain's finest landscapes. Located on the coast of East Anglia, it covers 150 square miles and includes wildlife-rich wetlands, ancient heaths, windswept shingle beaches and historic towns and villages.

In their Winter 2011 update hear about Christmas Celebrations for the Volunteers and lots about birds! This includes sightings and a visit to Minsmere. Lyn and Nick also encourage us to get out and about in our beautiful area - amongst many suggestions they give details of the Long Distance Walks available.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Nick Marsh on 01394 384948
