In the Community Hour on Monday 14th August the host Alex Ivancevic will be talking to Lydia Colmer, a Health Promotion & Engagement Coordinator for the Stroke Association, covering Southampton City. Lydia works to raise awareness of stroke;

including how to prevent a stroke, the effects of stroke and how to recognise a stroke (FAST). The work also entails obtaining feedback from stroke survivors and their friends/family members about their experiences of stroke care (both in hospital and once back at home), in order to improve services.

Social Care Action (SCA) is a community focused charitable social enterprise established for over 25 years with a turnover of £10.5 million, with 7 different arms of the group providing services in many areas: health and wellbeing, care, transport, etc. Everything the organisation does is focused on supporting individuals to lead better lives.
